The Art of Flirting in Cuba

The Cuban is one who, like everyone else, has its own characteristics, and some of them, are very hard to find in other parts of the world.

Said to be brave, supportive, amorous, gallant, and in the arts of love has no rivals. Maybe this description is a little exaggerated, but, as far as juggling to seduce women, Cubans, and "habaneros", in particular, are in good shape for any "contest".

Arguments used to show affection or desire for a lady, is alive in the street. Privacy is not required, the darkness of a room or the silence of love, Not at all! this peculiar form of gallantry is explosive, spread to sun and wind, and goes all around and not only to the lady.

Years ago, the attraction of a woman was expressed primarily in the language of the eyes, hands, there were always flowers, boxes of chocolates (the chocolate is closely linked to serotonin and human happiness) and other gifts that demonstrated the need for rapprochement, the interests of the common future.

The Art of Flirt is something else, is the channel to project that joyful charge of imagination in the spirit. a combination of words and expressions which suddenly are born from the soul of someone attracted by the sexual appearance, the physical or the spiritual opulence of a beautiful lady.

This "sui generis" form of admiration is more urban than rural, where respect for women remains superior to that in the cities.

There are many and well known quotes from generation to generation that have the sympathy of most Cubans.

Si cocinas como caminas, me como hasta la raspita = If you cook as you walk, I will eat all, referring to the renowned hip and waist movement that identifies the walk of Cuban women.

Niña, el sol está en tu pelo para alumbrarme el camino = Baby, the sun is in your hair to light my way, (if it is a blond lady)

En la oscuridad de tu pelo quiero perderme todas las noches = I would like to dissapear in the darkness of your hair (if it's a black hair woman)

Niña, felicidades para tu papá y tu mamá por hacerte tan bonita = girl, congratulations to your dad and your mom they make you so cute!.

So, habaneros, and most of the Cubans, sometimes loudly, almost always followed by a characteristic whistle to denote the beauty of the walker, have their very special way to express their imagination in front of the beauty or sensuality of any woman, although they should be kind and nice, otherwise a slap will sound from an offended lady.
