Havana .- The Cuban Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) started a caravan which will visit 10 cities in Italy and Spain to promote the destination Cuba.

The caravan is entitled "Authentic Cuba", "the statement explained. He added that with this tour, Cuba seeks to expand its potential as a tourist destination in major cities of the two European countries, which occupy top spots in the list of markets of the island Cuban which received about two million 300 thousand visitors a year.

The cities included are Venice, Milan, Bologna, Ancona and Rome, Madrid, Sevilla, Malaga, Murcia and Valencia. These cities offer the greatest number of tour operators, travel agencies and airlines, for the marketing of Cuban tourism, presented the note.

A public participation program has been prepared by experts, officials and the press.

The campaign includes exchanges, negotiations, presentation of tourism development in Cuba and meetings of gastronomy and music.
