Cuba and Caribbean Festivals in Santiago de Cuba

Caribbean Festival in Santiago de Cuba, July 3 - 9 La Casa del Caribe and the Ministry of Culture of Cuba summon the Caribbean Festival, La Fiesta del Fuego, international artistic event artistic for academic and community spaces, which is held annually in Santiago de Cuba in the first week of July (3 to July 9, 2010). As in previous years, the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) also sponsors this activity in which it's performed academic forum on topics related to history and culture of the peoples of the Caribbean. The Caribbean Cuba Festival unfolds in a living encounter, popular and massive, Dance and Music, Folklore and Theatre, Literature and the Arts, Film and Video. The cultural festival, is devoted this time to the island of Curacao and the Brazilian State, Pernambuco, these regions and Cuba. The International Colloquium, Caribbean that unites us, includes lectures, panels and workshops academic on Poetry, Music, Theatre and Plastic Arts, Cuban and Caribbean Religions, Cultural Heritage, Identity and Diversity; Orality and Social Communication, History, Economy and Society, Latin America and the Caribbean, a cosmos of life and culture, creative aspects perennial joint to interweave human diversity generates unique experiences of mutual recognition, tangible in the Fiesta del Fuego. As usual, Santiago de Cuba, capital of the Caribbean, will be over 50 locations, with massive participation of the population and 32 of these areas are open natural scenes. We call on scholars and academics to propose topics of lectures and panels for the symposium, as always, is open to topics of cultural and social interest, current and historical of our peoples.
