The 13th edition of the event, from tomorrow until November 28, will see what they can do on stage the exponents of the new generation of jazz musicians in Cuba
November 24, 2010 by Michel Hernandez * (PL) The last part of the year brings one of the larger proposals for the burgeoning jazz movement in Cuba, the contest Jojazz 2010 that will highlight the legacy of the remarkable bassist Orlando CachaÃto Lopez (1933 - 2009) The 13th edition of the event, from tomorrow (November 25) until November 28, will see what they can do on stage the exponents of the new generation of jazz musicians on the island. The opening will take place at Havana's Mella Theatre, main venue of the event, which will bring together young musicians and renowned figures of Cuban music to offer, jazz by a tour of key stages of the artistic life of CachaÃto, who was one of the leading figures of the all-star is Buena Vista Social Club. Participate in the inaugural lineup also the Italian saxophonist Stefano Di Battista and his group, composed by pianist Roberto Tarenzi, Francesco Puglisi bassist, and drummer Roberto Pistolesi.
