Russian Tourists Interested in Cuba

Nature, City, Culture and History among preferences of Russian visitors to Cuba Source: dtcuba.com Monday, December 20, 2010 Havana.- Cuba has become a popular tourist destination among Russian tourists, nearly 50,000 of whom will travel to the Caribbean island in 2010, according to sources from the Cuban Tourism Ministry. In 2009, 37,391 Russian vacationers visited Cuba, which has reported 10,000 tourists more so far this year, the sources added. The record set in 2008 was broken when 40,163 Russian travelers visited the island. Russian tourists like Cuba's tropical beaches and scuba diving, as well as the country's nature, cities, culture and history.
