Cuba expects more than 2,700,000 tourists in 2011 by increases in visitors from Canada and European nations, including Russia, France and Italy "The three million visitors a year in Cuba are not so far," told local reporters José Manuel Bisbe, commercial director of the Ministry of Tourism. Last Saturday, December 18th, in his presentation of Cuba's economic plan for next year, the economy minister, Mariano Murillo, said he will seek a 29.5% expansion of tourism and that it aims to serve more than 2,700,000 visitors 2011. Canada, the largest source market of tourists to Cuba, will be the focus of a new program designed to offer the number of Canadians who spend holidays in this country, 914,884 in 2009, "is closer to a million," the official said to the weekly options. Cuba also organized "new business" promotional and transport for the current winter in Russia, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Scandinavia, France and Italy.
