Silvio Rodríguez will open edition of the Swedish Peace and Love festival to be held in Havana, Cuba Date: 03/25/2011 Source: PL Havana (PL) .- Cuban singer Silvio Rodriguez and singer-songwriter Carlos Varela will open the first edition of the festival habanera Swedish Peace and Love, a call for peace and love for the environment. Founded more than a decade in the city of Borlänge, joined the meeting for two days to eight prominent bands from various backgrounds, four of them in Sweden. Headquartered in the gardens of the old brewery's tropical, great and popular area, the meeting was organized by the Cuban musician Alfonso X and his art Factory project. Swedish rockers like Timbuktu and Familjien will share the stage with musicians from the island as Hypnosis and Zeus, in a large discharge starting from the afternoon and runs until after midnight, with the motto Courage, Love and Hope. Besides music there will be a broad representation of other events, among them dance and visual arts. As anticipated at a press conference their main manager, the idea is to continue this project annually. Peace and Love was created in 1999 and has become one of the biggest festivals in Sweden. In its latest edition brought together some 40 thousand people.
