Guardalavaca is the most popular beach resort in eastern Cuba, located at Holguin Province, in northeastern cuba -near Bariay, where Admiral Christopher Colombus first set foot on Cuban soil and described this area as "the most beautiful land that human eyes have ever seen", and this still holds true.
