Founded back in 1519, and considered since then the Key of the Gulf, the former Villa of San Cristobal de la Habana is today the urban core of over 2 million people offering the visitor the attraction of any cosmopolitan city, close to the sea and being the center of the cultural life in the Caribbean Island.
There are more than one must see places in the historic center of Havana Vieja and among them we should mention The Templete, which was the house to more than one historic event. It hosted the ceremony to the foundation of the city, the first mass and the first cabildo.
