In orden to rent a car, you must meet the following criteria: - Minimum age limit: 21 years old. - Up-to-date driver's license and at least 1 year experience. - Passport Identity card. If you prefer not ti drive the rented car yourself you may include up to two additional drivers in the rent contract, ( you must present their drivrer's license with al teast 1 year of experience, and the identit card or passport). An extra3.00 CUC per dar fee, should be paind al the moment of the rent. For luxury cars the extra fee is 10.00 CUC. You can pay in cash for the service in Cuban Civertble Pesos
(CUC), on using credit cards (whenever they dont't come from North
American banks) and vouchers emitted by the tour operators associated
with CUBACAR. Traveller's checks are not accepted, but they can be changed in any bank office. the princes are fixed for each season. The total cost of the rent is defined considering the car category, total rent time and tourist season(high or low). The rate for the total amount of days asked and enjoyed will be made using the effective rate of the first day of the rent. It includes insirence coverage. If any accident or car damege happens while driving, you must go to the nearest police unit. Then you must present all the legal documents at our offices.
